Hello from the eleventh floor of 1501 N. State Street. I think it's going to be rather fun living on the Gold Coast, with nightly swims at the Oak Street Beach. Seriously, I know of nowhere else in the world where you can float on your back in calm, fresh water, and look over your forehead at a beautiful mass of skyscrapers.

In other news, the wedding was fun, and we now own lots of large couches. I'm sure cowperthwait will have some very amusingly-told stories about couch-hallway geometry and such, but suffice it to say that we no longer own any college-y couches.

Speaking of couches, it's time to hit the hay in this (very comfy) sofabed. They've been warning me about the need for people to work late this week, so I'd better get rest while I can.
